We hope you’ll join us at St. John’s for Holy Week & Easter—whether virtually or in-person—and invite friends and family too!
Join us at St. John’s as we begin the season of Lent together as a community on Wednesday, Feb. 22. There will be two opportunities to observe Ash Wednesday: a morning service (spoken) at 10am and an evening service (with music) at 7pm. Both services will have Communion and ashes for those who would like to receive them. All ages are welcome. The 10am service will be in-person only, and the 7pm service will be hybrid (in-person and Zoom). The Zoom link for the 7pm service can be found here.
A garden party/BBQ to launch the Community Garden—as well as to celebrate students going back to school—is planned for Saturday, Sept. 9 from 4 to 6 pm. There will be outdoor music and fun for children… face painting, rocks painting, golf clinic; hot dogs and cold beverages will be served. This event is open to the wider community. There is no charge but donations are welcome.
In support of their Truth and Reconciliation efforts, Inlet United Church is hosting a Blanket Exercise. 1-4pm, Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Inlet United Church, 2315 Spring St., Port Moody. A blanket exercise is an interactive educational program that teaches the history of Indigenous peoples in Canada and provides an opportunity for experiential, emotional, and thoughtful learning. The exercise will be facilitated by Shelley Saje Ricci (also known as Shelley Bear), through the Kairos Blanket Exercise program of Kairos Canada. This activity is open to all, 16 years and older and is free of charge. Please reserve your seat, as space is limited: office@inletunited.ca or 604-939-5513 For more info, please visit our website at https://www.inletunited.ca/
