Soup & Sandwiches to Share – Community Kitchen

Soup & Sandwiches to Share - Community Kitchen

Join St. John’s for our next in-person Spring Street Community Kitchen on Thursday, May 11, 4-6pm, where we’ll be doing some bulk cooking of soup and sandwiches.

Pre-registration is required. Please send your name and email address to

A portion of this food will go to a local shelter run by Progressive Housing Society, which provides support services to adults living with mental health issues or facing homelessness. The rest of the food will be for us to take home for ourselves and/or to share with those from our own networks.

There will be some social time after we’ve finished cooking and cleaning up, and we’ll have the chance to enjoy a light supper/snack of soup as we visit with one another.

Entry is by donation. A suggested $5 helps to cover costs for the food we’ll be donating and that you’ll be taking home, and any extra donations will go toward supporting future kitchens. All ingredients and equipment will be provided.

The Spring Street Community Kitchen is a partnership between St. John’s Anglican Church and Inlet United Church in Port Moody. We invite you to like and follow us at our Facebook page, where you will find links to videos of past kitchens as well as recipes!
