COVID Reminder
As COVID infections become more common, and as we enter cold/flu season, please continue to be vigilant. Watch for symptoms and stay home if unwell. Help us to care for our community and let the clergy or wardens know if you’ve tested positive after being at church, so that we can notify folks of any major potential exposures. Parish Council will review our current safety protocols at our Tues. Sept. 20 meeting – please let us know if you have feedback.

Donate to Pakistan Relief
As we have all heard, rains and flooding in Pakistan are causing a great need for help…. Donations made by 28th Sept. to the Humanitarian Coalition will be matched by the Government of Canada, up to $3 million.
How you can help. Pray for the people of Pakistan.
Give to the Pakistan flood response through PWRDF by Sept. 28 at pwrdf.org/give-today and click on “Flooding in Pakistan”, or send a cheque to PWRDF, 80 Hayden Street, 3rd Fl., Toronto, ON, M4Y 3G2, indicating “Pakistan Flooding” on the cheque. Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Services
The National Church will hold a Memorial Service for the Queen, Tues. Sept. 20, 12noon (3pmEST) at St. James’ Cathedral in Toronto, which will be livestreamed via anglican.ca
Our Diocese will also present a Choral Evensong in Commemoration of the Queen at Christ Church Cathedral, on Sunday Sept. 25, 4pm. The liturgy will be livestreamed via the Cathedral’s website.
In-person seating is by reservation only – 400 attendance wristbands are available first-come first-served in the Cathedral’s narthex beginning Thurs., Sept. 15, from 10am-4pm, Mon- Fri. Limit of two wristbands per person.
Diocesan Mission & Ministry Conference

Join clergy and lay leaders for a different sort of Mission & Ministry Conference on Sat. Oct. 15, 10am-4pm at St. Dunstan’s Aldergrove. Professor Dr. Amy Zildulka will workshop collaborative and creative techniques to help us imagine new ways for our parishes—individually and collaboratively—to address 3 pressing issues (pick one) facing our region today: Housing and Homelessness, Climate Justice, or Spiritual Development.

New Companion Diocese Bishop
Congrats to our Companion Diocese, Episcopal Diocese of Northern Philippines, which welcomed a new bishop this past week – the Rt. Rev. Benny P. Lang-akan. Bishop John attended as a co-consecrator, along with a delegation from our diocese. More info and photos can be found at the diocesan write-up.
Back-to-Church BBQ
We had a wonderful and successful event and it was so heartwarming to see so many back at church. Heartfelt thanks for all who helped to make the day a success and congrats to Doris Lee for winning the Purple Spoon award for best dessert.
