Spring is here! Come join us for a walk in the woods with ethnobotanist and storyteller Cease Wyss. Learn traditional names and medicinal uses of local plants and trees. Listen to stories about this land and how the trees, these plants and wildlife are all of our relations.

Cease Wyss is an ethnobotanist, media artist, educator and activist. She has been a media artist for over 25 year producing work nationally and internationally. Her work involves site-specific and culturally focused teaching with storytelling as her means of sharing knowledge. Cease has been involved as an Artist in Residence with various community centres and parks in Vancouver from the early 1990’s to date, and has created works through community engagement and dialogues. She is traditionally trained by Indigenous Elders. She continues to study and also teach medicinal plants with her community and programs all over Vancouver and the lower mainland.
