ST. JOHN THE APOSTLE ANGLICAN CHURCH

We gather as the Body of Christ at St. John’s, in the heart of Port Moody, British Columbia, Canada. We acknowledge with gratitude and humility that St. John’s is located on land that is traditional territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. We are grateful for the heritage of the Tsleil-Waututh, Squamish, Kwikwetlem and Musqueam Nations. We in the Diocese of New Westminster continue to search and pray with Indigenous brothers, sisters, and friends for truth, justice and reconciliation.

(Please note that the 8:30 service is in-person only, and the 10am is hybrid [Zoom + in-person] each Sunday.)  Each Sunday, we gather in-person and online to express our love of God in worship. Worship is an opportunity to sing and think and learn and pray and connect in a supportive and encouraging environment. It is a communal spiritual practice which is intended to bring us closer to God and to those around us.

Sunday at 8:30am – a quiet celebration of Holy Eucharist according to the Book of Alternative Services, with a short meditation and no music.

Sunday at 10:00am – a contemporary celebration of Holy Eucharist according to the Book of Alternative Services with music. Children are welcome and there is a children’s talk each month (usually the last Sunday of the month).

As we are currently between administrators, please make an appointment to come in. Voicemails and emails are being checked during general office hours of Tues/Thurs/Fri 10am-2pm. LOCATION

[Please note that due to Covid-19 precautions, many in-person gatherings and programs of the church are currently meeting online.}

We are located at 2208 St. John’s Street, Port Moody, BC V3H 2A7.

Driving? We have a small parking lot at Douglas St. and Spring St. and some parking spots on Spring St. behind the church building. Otherwise, street parking can usually be found in the surrounding blocks.

Taking public transport? Several bus lines (160, 180, N9) stop on St. John’s St. right on our block (westbound get off @ Elgin St. and eastbound @ Douglas St. Note: if traveling eastbound, you may consider getting off @ Kyle St. for an easier and safer crossing of the street)
