For 5 Sundays this summer (June 28 and July 5, 12, 19, 26), St. John’s will be sponsoring a Sunday morning virtual Vacation Bible School for all children of our Tricities & N. Burnaby Deanery. We will begin at 9:30am and gather until approximately 9:50am on Zoom. The theme of our VBS will be “Compassion Camp – Be Loved, Be Kind, Be You”, and during this time together the children will hear a Bible story and have a discussion relating to the theme of the day, while doing some artwork with some musical accompaniment. Join us for our All-Ages Games Night on Saturday, Feb. 22, 5-8pm. Stay for all 3 hours or just stop by for part of the time. We will have all sorts of card and board games for adults and kids of all ages, and lots of conversation. What a relaxing and fun chance to get to know each other! We will provide refreshments. To help us plan well for food and space, please let us know you’re coming via the sign-up sheets in the Parish Hall or email us via administrator@stja.ca with how many are coming. Cost is by donation.
Join us on Wednesday, February 26, as we begin the season of Lent together as a community, and gather for prayer, Eucharist, and the imposition of ashes. There will be two opportunities to observe Ash Wednesday: a morning service (spoken) at 10am and an evening service (with music) at 7pm. All ages are welcome.
With all the craziness, fun, and excitement of the Christmas season, why not have a relaxing evening with family and friends with a MOVIE NIGHT!!!

Join us on Sunday, Dec. 1, as we begin the season of Advent with a special 10am Lessons & Carols service. This will be a wonderful service filled with nine scripture readings interwoven with the singing of lovely hymns, which will then be followed by Holy Communion. Together, these pieces tell the amazing story of God and God’s people all the way from creation to the fulfillment of God’s love in the birth of Jesus. (The 8:30am service will be our regular spoken service.) Hope to see you here!
