MARK YOUR CALENDARS – Envisioning our Future – July 9, 2016: 9am to Noon followed by Potluck Lunch

 Come join your fellow parishioners to discuss a new vision and mission for St. John the Apostle, Port Moody. Who is God calling us to be and do here at St. John’s. Why are we doing this now? Two good reasons:

1. Our current vision and mission statements were developed several years ago – before the merger with St. Margaret of Scotland and with even more growth since then, it is time to review.
2. At the Annual Vestry Meeting in February, a motion was passed to get further input from the parish before proceeding with renovations to the church. This will accomplish that goal as well.

 We will have an external facilitator from the Diocesan Consulting Group, who will lead us through the process on July 9. After that, the Parish Council will review the input and prepare a preliminary draft for a new vision and mission for review by the parish after the 10:00 am service on Sunday, September 18^th.

 We need as much input as possible. Please register for this important event in the life of the parish. Sign-up sheets will be downstairs in the parish hall. We need help with set-up  and take-down/clean-up. For lunch, please bring some finger foods to share with others. Please indicate what you are bringing on the sign-up sheet.
