Moving Back into the Neighbourhood
Pre-Synod Mission Conference announced for April 17, 2010
What is God’s plan for communities of Christians in our post-Christian era?
We’ll never know if we simply remain within the walls of our churches.
The Parish Support team of the Diocese is delighted to announce that the second installment in the new workshop/visioning series, Road to 2018 will be a Pre-Synod Mission conference led by the author of “The Missional Church” Dr. Alan Roxburgh. The particular focus of this conference will be on developing the skills needed to go with our desire to be a “Missional Church” in this post-modern, post-Christian era. The day is titled Moving Back into the Neighbourhood and is sure to be an exciting and enlightening day.
The parish, trustees, parish leaders and clergy of St. Dunstan, Aldergrove have agreed to host the day and are looking forward to sharing their beautiful church and facilities.
Registration is required and you are encouraged to register by e-mail through Bettina Gruver, firstname.lastname@example.org.
The day will get going at 9am with registration, hot drinks and breakfast muffins and pastry followed by the program getting underway in the sanctuary at 10am. At 12:30 lunch will be available in the hall followed by the afternoon session. The day will end with a short worship service around 3:30pm.
There is no fee and food is included
